David previously was a physician assistant for 10 years at Kishwaukee Medical Associates, Sycamore. “I believe the Community Cares Clinic will become a major part of the solution to the healthcare problems which are prevalent in our nation today. I am passionate about providing medical care through the Family Practice model, where treating the entire family provides a more complete picture not only of the patient's medical problems, but also insight into caring for the social, emotional and spiritual needs of that patient and their entire family. I am learning Spanish in order to provide culturally sensitive care to the Hispanic population.”

He is married and has four school-aged children, with another child due in April. In his spare time he enjoys running, biking, camping, gardening, and doing home remodelling projects. He is a member of Kishwaukee Bible Church, where he assists with teaching Sunday School, singing and playing the guitar.

David coached cross country and track at the collegiate level prior to entering the medical field. He spent about nine months in Kenya, participating in missions-related work through his church.
