"I became interested in Urology while I was a surgical intern at SUNY Buffalo and then did a year of Research in Urology at Emory University in Atlanta before beginning my Residency at West Virginia University Hospitals. I am committed to listening to all of my patients questions and concerns during each visit and giving them all the information they need to make an informed decision about their health. My wife and I are proud parents to four children. One beginning medical school, two in college and one beginning elementary school. In my free time I enjoy traveling, tennis, strength training, and reading," said Dr. Bux.

Dr. Bux is a board certified urologist who has been practicing in the DeKalb area for more than 10 years. His areas of special interest are urological oncology, especially prostate cancer surgery and seed implants for prostate cancer, minimally invasive treatment for BPH, urinary incontinence and voiding dysfunction, kidney stone disease, and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Bux has published several articles in leading medical journals on topics ranging from renal trauma to new antigens for prostate cancer screening and lidocaine uses during prostate biopsies.
