Crock Pot StuffingIngredients

  • 6 Tablespoon butter* or margarine
  • 2 cups diced/chopped onion
  • 2 cups diced celery
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 12 oz. mushrooms, washed and chopped
  • 12 cups dry bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 ½ teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • ½ teaspoon marjoram
  • 1 ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 to 4 ½ cups chicken broth
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Directions

  • Sauté vegetables in butter. 
  • In large mixing bowl, combine bread crumbs and seasonings. Add broth until moist. Add eggs and blend. 
  • Transfer to crock pot. Cook on high for about 45 minutes, then reduce to low setting and cook for 4-8 hours. Add additional broth as needed. Crack lid if stuffing becomes too mushy.
