Sweet and Spicy PopcornIngredients

  • 2 oz Popcorn kernels
  • 1 T Canola oil
  • 1 T Sugar
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • dash Cayenne pepper


1. Pour oil into large pot. Add the kernels and evenly space them out in a single layer. Turn heat to medium high.

2. Cover with lid. When popping starts, reduce heat to medium.

3. Shake constantly until popcorn finishes popping. Approximately 3 minutes.

4. Remove pan from heat and transfer popcorn to serving bowl

5. Place sugar, chili powder, cinnamon, salt, and cayenne pepper in a zip-top bag. Mix.

6. Add popcorn. Close bag and shake. Repeat until popcorn is coated.

Yield: 6, 1 cup servings
