Nursing Management Certificate Program

The nursing management teams of Kishwaukee Community Hospital and Valley West Community Hospital recently completed the Nursing Management Certificate Program through the Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions. The 10-course program focuses on the development of leadership skills in areas including fiscal management, legal and ethical issues, strategic planning, organizational structures, and marketing.

Drexel College of Nursing and Health Professions has earned national recognition and accreditation for the education and training of health professionals. As experienced clinicians and leaders, Kishwaukee Health System’s nursing management team is committed to lifelong learning and excellence in nursing caredelivery.

Those who completed the certificate program are Pamela Duffy, Kishwaukee Health System Vice President Patient Care Services and Medical Staff; Pam Lewis, RN, Theresa Faivre, RN , and Diane Fuchs, RN, nurse managers at Valley West; Lisa Ackland, RN, Vickie Guthrie, RN,; and Mary Wehmeyer, RN., nurse managers at KCH; and Amy Johnson, RN, Chris Jones, RN, and; Cheryl Fisher, RN, nurse managers at both hospitals.
