January 31, 2008

Dr. Masood has been practicing for more than 13 years and also is on staff at Children’s Memorial Hospital, Central Dupage Hospital and Delnor. Her medical interests include allergies, childhood obesity and ADHD. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics. She completed her residency at the University of Chicago Wyler’s Children’s Hospital, one of top children’s hospitals in the nation. She received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School.

Dr. Masood said her goal as a pediatrician is to optimize each child’s potential by means of preventative, comprehensive care.

“I believe that caring for a child’s health is a partnership between the parents and the pediatrician, and my commitment to each family is to help empower every child to reach the healthiest possible body and mind for the brightest possible future,” said Masood.

She was nominated as one of America’s Top Physicians by Consumers Research Council of America, and she is a recipient of an Appreciation Award by the National Health Service Corps for her dedicated service to America’s underserved.

Not only does Dr. Masood and the Healthguard practice believe in a personal approach to medicine, they also aim to enhance patient care through a technology-based system that gives up-to-the-minute patient information.

As a mother of two, Dr. Masood says she feels privileged to be in a position to make a difference in the lives of children.

“I know that I will gain the confidence and trust of parents and children alike as we follow the growth and development of our ‘special gifts’ together,” she said.

Her office is located at 5 Kish Hospital Drive, Suite 203, in the medical office building attached to the hospital. For an appointment, call 815.748.1900.
