VWCH Honors Employees During National Healthcare Week

Valley West Community Hospital employees have been recognized for their years of service to the hospital.

Employees who have worked 45, 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10 and 5 years were honored at the annual KishHealth System Employee Recognition Banquet May 15. 
Constance Kolzow, Radiology Technologist, was recognized for 45 years of service. 
Kolzow is the health system’s first 45-year Service Award recipient. After training at Copley Hospital, she went to work for the Sandwich Community Hospital, now Valley West Community Hospital. Kolzow was born in the community and has lived here all her life. 

Joanna Parris, RN, was honored for 40 years of service to the hospital. 

Parris began at Valley West as an RN on the medical/surgical/pediatrics floor and switched to the Intensive Care Unit when it opened in 1970, and has continued to work in the ICU since then. “It’s been a pleasure,” Parris says, “to have worked in my hometown all these years, at a great job with a wonderful group of people.” 

Thirty-five year honorees were Joann Fox, Health Information Management.  

Thirty-year honoree: Donna Grumieaux, Patient Access.

Fifteen-year honoree: Susan Hohenberger, Pharmacy.

Ten-year honorees were Mary Barnette, Patient Access; Debra Heise, Laboratory;Kristy Marisette, Patient  Accounts; Lana McDaniels, Purchasing and Stores; and Cheryl Todd, Respiratory Therapy.  

Five-year honorees were Jerry Bail, Diagnostic Imaging; Laura Bilotta, Patient Access; Patrician Blockinger, Laboratory; Mary Jo Briel, Diagnostic Imaging; Shellie Cartwright, RN, Emergency Department; Olga Harp, Patient Access; Christy Jenkins, Diagnostic Imaging; Frances Leonard, Housekeeping; Barbara Leveque, Housekeeping; Anthony Manzella, Maintenance; Darlene McClimans, RN, Maternity Suites; Roxanne Miller, Diagnostic Imaging; Brenda Moran, Housekeeping; Jessica Rothenbach, RN, Hospital Supervisor; Rose Wakefield, Housekeeping; and Brooke Wantland, Food and Nutrition Services.
