Kish Hospital Offers Patient Meals Around the Clock

July 16, 2009

In an effort to continually improve the patient experience at Kishwaukee Community Hospital, At Your Request Room Service is now available around the clock for inpatients and patients in the Emergency Department.

With the advanced room service program, patients can order food over the phone and have it delivered to their bedsides 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The menu includes a wide variety of nutritious choices for both restricted and non-restricted diets.

The Food and Nutrition Services Department, managed by Sodexo, has added additional staff to make 24/7 patient meal service possible.

The department also provides nutrition counseling from licensed dietitians in its Outpatient Nutrition Program. A physician order is required and appointments are available by calling Outpatient Scheduling at 815.748.2975. The department also runs the Garden Café, Kish Coffee House, and Simply to Go Catering service which are open to the general public. For more information, call Terry Bomkamp, Food and Nutrition Services director, at 815.756.1521 x153279.
