Cardiologist Joins Kish Hospital Medical Staff

Christopher Berry, MDKishwaukee Community Hospital is pleased to announce that Christopher Berry, MD, a board certified cardiologist, has joined the medical staff and is practicing with Cardiac & Vascular Specialists, which has offices in DeKalb, Elgin and Huntley.

Dr. Berry will be assisting with 24/7 coverage of Kish Hospital’s newly opened Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The Cath Lab provides diagnostic, routine and emergent interventional procedures for patients with cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Berry also is board certified in internal medicine and previously practiced five years, including four years at Great Lakes and Guantanamo Bay Naval Hospitals and one year with the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Milwaukee.

He recently completed two fellowships at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, one in cardiovascular disease and the other in interventional cardiology.  He graduated from Northwestern University Medical School and did his residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St.Lukes Medical Center, Chicago.

Dr. Berry’s colleagues at the DeKalb office of Cardiac &  Vascular Specialists are Dr. Asim Nisar, medical director of  Kish Hospital’s Cardiovascular Services; Dr. Khalid Riaz, Dr. Rajinder Singh, and Dr. Neda Zamani.
