KishHealth Counseling Now Available at Valley West

October 29, 2010

Two recent developments with KishHealth Counseling Services are in keeping with the health system’s pledge to expand outpatient behavioral health services.

  • Psychiatrist Thomas A. Dennison, MD, has expanded his hours at KishHealth Counseling in DeKalb.
  • KishHealth Counseling is now providing services on Thursday afternoon in Sandwich, including psychiatric services with Dr. Dennison.

Dr. Dennison has been on the Kishwaukee Community Hospital medical staff providing outpatient psychiatry services in the community for 20 years, with limited hours with KishHealth Counseling in DeKalb. For the past four years, he also has been providing services in Oregon, Sterling, Mt. Carroll, and Dixon.

“We know the need for psychiatric services in our area is high and are thrilled that more people now will be able to experience Dr. Dennison’s personal touch and availability to his patients,” said Kim Volk, director, KishHealth Counseling & EAP Services. In addition, the staff of five licensed therapists and counselors has expertise in many areas of behavioral health, including counseling for young children, adolescents, and adults. A free 15-minute consultation is offered to new clients.

KishHealth Counseling in Sandwich is located in Medical Office Building, 1310 N. Main Street, Suite 208. Therapists and Dr. Dennison have office hours on Thursdays from 1-5 p.m. Hours will be expanded as need demands.
