Harley-Davidson Event benefits KishHealth Foundation and The Cancer Center at Kishwaukee Community HospitalPierce Harley-Davidson hosted its 2nd annual Bosom Buddies Breastival in October at their dealership in DeKalb. Proceeds totaling $1,743 were donated to KishHealth Foundation to benefit The Cancer Center at Kishwaukee Community Hospital.  The funds will be used for patients in need of services offered in The Cancer Center’s Image Center.  Services offered in the boutique are breast prosthesis fittings, special bras, and active wear, as well as wig fittings and make-up consultations to help restore self-esteem.

The very successful event featured activities, cancer related educational information and a silent auction.  Marylou Pierce Smith won a beautiful Harley-Davidson themed quilt at the Breastival.  She then donated it to The Cancer Center which was given away during The Cancer Center’s patient open house.

“Thank you to Pierce Harley-Davidson for working so hard on the event.  We appreciate their generous donation and are grateful they chose to donate the funds to The Cancer Center at Kishwaukee Community Hospital again this year,” said Renee Ellingson, executive director of KishHealthFoundation.
