Genoa-Kingston Fire Department Donates to Cancer Center

DeKalb, Ill. — Dick Graff, Genoa-Kingston Rescue president and captain (second from left); John Klassen, Genoa-Kingston Fire vice president and fire fighter (center); Justin Lee, Genoa-Kingston Fire president, fire fighter, and EMT (second from right); presented a donation of $1,100 to the KishHealth System Cancer Center to Chris Sarver, development coordinator for KishHealth System Foundation (left), and Debra Bemis, director of Oncology Services for KishHealth System (right). The donation will benefit patient care and support programs at the KishHealth System Cancer Center.

Lee said, “We raised the money by selling a t-shirt designed for breast cancer awareness (Captain Graff is wearing one is wearing one in the photograph). This is the second year selling t-shirts in order to donate to the local cancer center in DeKalb County. Members of the Genoa-Kingston Fire Department and Rescue Squad all gave efforts to selling the t-shirts around the area. We hope to continue the donation in the years to come and thank everyone for the support!” For more information about the KishHealth System Cancer Center, visit www.kishcancercare.org.
