KishHealth System Earns Awards of Excellence

DeKALB, Ill. – The KishHealth System Marketing & Public Relations Department earned ten Pinnacle awards on Oct. 23 from the Illinois Society of Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations during their annual fall conference in Oakbrook. The entries included pieces used in campaigns for both Kishwaukee and Valley West Hospitals and the several other entities that make up KishHealth System.

The Pinnacle awards were established to recognize Illinois society members for the challenging, creative work they do on a daily basis and to recognize excellence in clear and effective marketing and public relations communication. The awards showcase the results of collaboration among talented people. Partnerships with OC Imageworks as well as MorningStar Media Group were vital to the success of multiple campaigns.

Team members are:  Theresa Komitas, director; Noah Nordbrock, senior marketing and design specialist; Becky Cassie, wellness marketing and design specialist; Tatum Glas, website and design specialist; Dana King, event specialist; Tamara Farrell, internal communications specialist; Lindsey Engelsman, project coordinator; Katelyn Fogle, marketing and public relations specialist; Hannah Jaeger, design specialist, and Anne Hannan, marketing and public relations assistant.

The “Be Health Empowered” branding commercial, which aired in both the Kishwaukee and Valley West Hospital service areas, won a top Award of Excellence in the Television Advertising category. The KishHealth System Physical Therapy Center’s 5K Run/Walk in Sycamore also won a top Award of Excellence in the Fundraising category. 

KishHealth System was also awarded the Award of Merit in four different categories. In the E-Marketing & Social Networking category the award was earned for the showcase of different departments throughout the health system in the “Elf on a Shelf Facebook Adventure;” in Website Design/Development the winning entry was for the health system’s redesigned website “www.kishhealth.org;” the employee engagement campaign of “Power of We,” won the award for the category of Employee Communication; and the KishHealth System Physician Group “Rochelle Open House” held in December featuring fun family activities and live reindeer was recognized in the Special Event category.

The Honorable Mention awards went to the category of Logo Design for the “KishHealth System Rebranded Logo;” Community Newsletter with the quarterly “KishHealth System Physician Group Newsletters;” recognition for a Special Event for the “Valley West Hospital Expansion;” and in the Patient Literature category for materials used for “Ingredients for Healthy Living.”
