KishHealth System Offers Expanded Radiology Services with New MRI in SandwichSANDWICH, Ill.—Striving to meet the ever-changing needs of the communities it serves while maintaining the highest standards of care, KishHealth System has expanded its radiology services at Valley West Hospital, Sandwich. Over the past few years, KishHealth System has been executing a major upgrade plan at Valley West Hospital, including significant improvements in the facility and its clinical services. As part of these upgrades, a new wide bore Toshiba magnet has been installed in the new Magnetic Resonance Imaging Suite, which is designed to enhance the patient experience and deliver the highest quality imaging service. The Toshiba Vantage Titan 1.5T MRI provides the clearest images possible and the software used by Toshiba may reduce the need for contrast dyes to be given during the exam. This machine has twice the room of most MRI systems and facilitates feet-first exams which may decrease the feeling of claustrophobia. Pianissimo™ technology significantly reduces noise. The soft lighting creates a calming atmosphere to relieve patient anxiety during the exam. Technology such as this enables the staff at Valley West Hospital to achieve the highest image quality standards while reducing scan times.
